Running Shoes by Joyce Fishman

Anyone who loves to run knows the distinct exhilaration of taking on the outdoors with no other equipment than a good pair of running shoes. It’s a way of clearing the mental clutter, resolving tensions, and feeling fully awake and alive.
With whimsical text and beautiful watercolor and pen-and-ink illustrations—rich in color and imagery—Running Shoes not only conveys the cities, paths, trees, and roads that a runner encounters—it brings to life the feeling of what the runner encounters in their journey. This book reminds us what running and running shoes can bring to your life in a delightfully unique way.

An interesting book, indeed. Started reading it thinking it was a children's book, since it was so small and lots of colorful pictures.  After the book was finished I realized this might just be a small book made for adults. The content is exactly what the title says. It's all about running shoes. The freedom of running with a new pair of running shoes. I enjoyed the illustrations the most in this book. Not a lot of content in the book. But whimsical. Fun. Colorful.

The Gospel According to Josh-A 28-Year Gentile Bar Mitzvah

By the time Josh Rivedal turned twenty-five, he thought he’d have the perfect life—a few years singing on Broadway, followed by a starring role in his own television show. After which, his getaway home in the Hamptons would be featured in Better Homes & Gardens, and his face would grace the cover of the National Enquirer as Bigfoot’s not-so-secret lover. Instead, his resume is filled with an assortment of minor league theatre and an appearance on The Maury Povich Show—a career sidetracked by his father’s suicide, a lawsuit from his mother over his inheritance, and a break-up with his long-term girlfriend.  Tortured by his thoughts, he finds himself on the ledge of a fourth floor window, contemplating jumping out to inherit his familial legacy. In turn he must reach out to the only person who can help him before it’s too late.  Based in part on his acclaimed one-man show, The Gospel According to Josh is a comedic and poignant true-to-life tale of love, loss, struggle, and survival—a gospel account of one young man’s passage into manhood—his twenty-eight-year Gentile bar mitzvah.

Hope for Garbage by Alex Tully

Readers' Favorite When your days are filled with fun things like panic attacks, nightmares, and garbage-picking, who has time for hope? Welcome to the cruel world of Trevor McNulty. No matter how hard he tries, this seventeen year-old just can’t get a break. And with all of the chaos swirling around in his head, girls are the last thing he cares about. But that changes when he meets Bea Stewart, a rebellious rich girl with problems of her own... A contemporary coming of age story, filled with memorable characters and intense emotion, Hope for Garbage is the tale of one teenager’s extraordinarily hard life, and the surprising journey he must take in order to survive.

I absolutely LOVED this indie book! Great job for her debut novel!  Character development was excellent.  Quick read-page turner.  Feelings of happy, sad, anger, everything! I would highly recommend this book to a young adult through old adult. 5 star!

My review:

I could not believe how much was packed into this handle little sewing guide!  Clear pictures attached to full instructions in a step-by-step manner for you to understand each process.  Installing zippers has always been my downfall. This book made it so easy to learn that technique!  Buttonholes, piece of cake!  This book even has a glossary of terms.  At the back of the book you will find related websites and blogs to further your interest in the sewing hobby!  Great for beginners too!  I highly recommend this great book...
