I originally picked this book to review because of the title "Good + Simple".  It did have some good ideas/pointers. But overall this was NOT a good and simple cookbook.  From ingredients like rutabagas all the way to arugula....these are not 'basic' ingredients in my opinion. I like down home cooking. This book will sell because of the cover, the modern look, and the trendy pictures. That just is not me. If the recipe ingredients are hard to find or 'different' in any way I won't make the recipe. I like easy, simple. The name of the book "Good + Simple" is very misleading. I could not find one recipe that I would try or even recommend.

I received this book from Blogging for Books for this review.
